Organization Level FAQs

Core supplies jerseys and hats.  Parents are responsible for the items:

  • White pants with or without navy blue piping.  These can full length or knicker style.
  • Navy Blue Socks.  These can be solid or with a light blue stripes.
  • Navy Blue Belt.

No, you do not need to go out and buy a new one.  HOWEVER, if you are getting one anyway, please get a white or navy blue helmet.  We will provide you with a Core logo sticker for the front, so please buy one that has has a "Sticker" logo on the front so we can take it off and add our logo.  Additionally, a face cage is not required in travel baseball.  The only requirement is a double ear flap.

Core uses BAND for all communications.  You will be a part of 2 "BANDS".  One is your team BAND and one is the Core Baseball BAND.  Here is a breakdown of what information you will see and where to look for things:

Your Team BAND:

  • Practice Schedules/Info
  • Tournament Dates/Info
  • Team Events/Info
  • Team specific announcements
  • Team specific photos/posts
  • Parents only

Core Baseball BAND:

  • Organization Wide Events
  • Sandlot Sunday Schedules
  • Philanthropy Events
  • Camp Schedules/Info
  • Organization announcements
  • Organization photos/posts
  • Parents only

GameChanger

  • Video
  • Stats
  • That's it...  Parents do not need to do anything in GameChanger

Core Website:

  • Schedules for non-parents
  • Organization information
  • At Home Commitment links (Some teams)

Team wear can be found on the "Merch" page of this website.  If you would like a team bag, send a message to "Core Baseball" in BAND and we can facilitate your order.

Tournament Day FAQs

You need to be there one hour before game time for ANY game.  This is so the team can warm up and get focused, but also because games can start early if the game before yours ends early.

Tournament schedules are generally published by the Wednesday before the tournament start date.  Game schedules will be posted by your head coach in GameChanger.  Be sure your RSVP for the tournament in BAND is up to date.  You do not need to RSVP in GameChanger.  **If you are in a 2-day tournament, the Sunday schedule will be announced on Saturday evening, so please be patient.

For 1-Day Tournaments: You need to be there 1-hour before your first game.  You need to have the expectation to be there all day, potentially into the evening depending on your performance in your pool play games.  There is a complicated points system that says who goes to the championship game(s).  Depending on the pool size, there could be 2 championship games. DO NOT LEAVE for the day until your head coach clears you.  You can be 1-1 on the day and still play in a championship game.

For 2-Day Tournaments: You can leave immediately after your last scheduled game on Saturday.  On Sunday, it is a single elimination tournament, so you can leave after you lose.  This could be 2-3 games.

Most families bring: At minimum, extra hydration, snacks for between games, sun tan lotion.

Other items you can bring: Chairs, wagons, canopies, food for the day, non-alcoholic drinks, umbrellas, comfortable shoes for between games for the player, bug spray, phone chargers, backup uniform items (Especially in rain), extra toilet paper, cool cloths (Especially for pitchers and catchers in heat)

This can happen as early as days before or as late as hours before.  This could be a total cancellation of a tournament/game or a delayed start.  Your head coach will pass this information in BAND as soon as as it is received.  Please have patience, this can be frustrating and also be last minute.  Coaches will do their best to pass any information immediately.

Often, head coaches will set up an optional "team hotel".  This is not a requirement to stay, but makes it fun for the parents and players.  This also generally has a group rate with a favorable refund policy.  If you get a hotel on your own, DO NOT get a non-refundable hotel room. You are not required to use local accommodations unless your head coach asks you to.

The Ark Complex

The Ark Complex

Parking Info

  • There are 2 parking lots.  One by the church (Safari Coffee) and one behind field #3.  Bothe are convenient for all fields.
  • May want to think twice about parking right behind the outfield fence of field #1, especially during a HR derby, as those spots could get hit by a HR.

Concessions Info

  • These are the best concessions you will see.  Restaurant quality food.
  • Lines can get VERY long at certain parts of the day, so of you see a short line, take advantage of it.

  • Field #4 has a very high net over the RIGHT field fence. That is in play and you have to hit it over it for it to be a HR
  • Field #1 has a very high net over the LEFT field fence. That is in play and you have to hit it over it for it to be a HR
  • Field #2 is a hybrid field where the "Dirt" areas are turf and the grass areas are Bermuda grass.  You still wear turn shoes or tennis shoes on this field
  • The outfield distances are marked in "Cubits".  A cubit is 1.5 feet.  You can do the math, but the fences are relatively short here
  • They do play the national anthem here and have a prayer before some games.  Please prepare your player and be sure they take their hats off for both
